Long Island Pumpkin Picking Guide

Fall is finally here and what better way to spend your weekend then at some of Long Island’s best pumpkin patches! There’s a farm for everyone, from pumpkins to hayrides, it’s a fall tradition that can’t be beaten. Check out some of our favorites below!

Nassau County

Atlantic Nursery & Garden Shop

250 Atlantic Ave., Freeport

Hours: Daily 9am-5pm

Activities include pumpkin picking, farm animals and petting zoo, hay and mini corn maze, haunted hide-away, build your own scarecrow, fall harvest and decorative market, festive cutout scene, scavenger hunt and face painting.

Crossroads Farm at Grossman’s

480 Hempstead Ave., Malverne

Hours: Wednesday 10am-1pm, Friday 3pm-6pm, Saturday 9am-1pm & Sunday 10am-2pm.

There is also a farmer’s market open Saturdays 9am-1pm

Hicks Nurseries

100 Jericho Turnpike, Westbury

Hours: Open daily 8am-6pm

Activities include hayrides, pictures with otto the ghost, animated childrens story, petting zoo. Kids workshop & concessions.

The Dee’s Nursery & Florist

69 Atlantic Ave., Oceanside

Hours: Every weekend from 11am-5pm

Activities include a petting zoo, pony rides, gem and fossil mining, pumpkin painting, spooky walk & roasted corn.

Suffolk County

Schmitt’s Family Farm

26 Pinelawn Rd., Melville

Hours: Saturdays & Sundays 10am-5pm

Activities include hayrides, animal train ride, duck races, marketplace, and concession stand.

Brightwaters Farms

1624 Manatuck Blvd., Bay Shore

Hours: Wednesday-Friday 12pm-5pm

Activities include farm playground, pumpkin picking, farm animal feeding & hayrides.

Elwood Pumpkin Farm

1500 East Jericho Turnpike, Huntington

Hours: Weekends 10am-5pm, Weekdays 3pm-5pm

Activities include wagon rides and children’s corn maze.

Fink’s Country Farm

6242 Middle Country Rd., Wading River

Hours: Weekdays 10am-4pm, Weekends 9:30am-5pm

Activities include animal feed, character appearances, corn cannon, mining station, pony rides, kiddie train, food & beverages, barnyard, human hamster wheel, play areas, jump pillow & live music.

Hank’s Pumpkintown

240 Montauk Highway, Water Mill

Hours: Daily 9:30am-6pm

Activities include wooden playground, farm stand, concession, corn maze, hayrides, jump pads, duck races, slides, pedal cart race, pig races, and treasure hunt maze.

Harbes Family Farm

715 Sound Ave., Mattituck

Hours: Weekdays 10am-5pm, Weekends 9am-6pm

Activities include corn maze, pony rides, tractor rides, hayrides, apple picking, and concessions.

Lewin Farms

812 Sound Ave., Calverton

Hours: Daily 9am-4:30pm

Activities include pumpkin picking, a newly designed corn maze, and farm stand.

Stakey’s Pumpkin Farm

270 West Ln., Aquebogue

Hours: Weekdays 12pm-5pm, Weekends 9am-5pm

Activities include corn maze, hayrides, bounce house, face painting, country store, and flower house.

White Post Farms
