Dr. William R. Galati

Bill comes into the field of real estate after 35 years in meeting multiple levels of success and achievement in the field of education and school / district administration.

First and foremost, Bill is a proud husband, uncle and friend.  Family and friends are instrumental in Bill’s life and career.  Bill is grateful for the life he and his wife have in the Incorporated Village of Head of the Harbor (St. James), their love of all aspects Long Island’s North and South Shores offer and his passion and interest in real estate.

Bill and his wife had the good fortune of owning properties in East Setauket, Setauket, Nissequogue and Head of the Harbor.  In addition, had a family residence for over fifty years in the Terry Waters enclave in Southold on the Great Peconic Bay.  He has extensive knowledge and foresight in buying, selling and with home renovations.  Bill and his wife both grew up in St. James where they attended elementary through secondary schools in the Smithtown CSD - were married at Sts. Philip and James RCC and had a wedding reception at the Watermill Inn – this is true evidence to the love and compassion Bill and his wife have for his community. 

As an educator, Bill was a teacher of high school science for ten years at St. John the Baptist Diocesan High School, followed by accepting science teaching positions in the Roslyn UFSD and the Three Village CSD. For twenty-five years Bill was a school building administrator with the Three Village CSD, Hauppauge UFSD, William Floyd UFSD, Southold UFSD, and the Hewlett-Woodmere UFSD. In the Riverhead CSD, Bill served as the Assistant Superintendent of Schools for Secondary Learning.  Bill was also adjunct professor of Mathematics at Suffolk County Community College and an active member of LIASCD, Phi Delta Kappa International and ESBOCES Curriculum Council – Member of the Curriculum Council Advisory Board.

Bill holds a BS in Mathematics from Mount St. Mary’s University, and holds two master’s degrees – a master’s degree in Mathematics and a master’s degree in Liberal Studies both from SUNY at Stony Brook, with certifications in Earth Science, Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, and building and district office administration.  He earned his Doctorate in Educational Administration and Supervision from St. John’s University.

Bill has a proven track record as defined by traits and qualities of attention to detail, planning, coordination, research, organization, foresight, ability to establish relationships, approachability, and honesty.  It is these same traits that Bill established as a teacher and administrator that he brings into the field of real estate.  As a listener, communicator, and one that leads with compassion and care, Bill has a knowledgeable lens to meet the various desires of buyers and sellers.
